| Umicore Precious Metals (Thailand) Ltd. was incorporated
on 3rd November 1993 as Degussa Thailand Ltd. as
a trading company, with the first name change to
JJ-Degussa (T) Ltd. after the joint venture on 1st
April 1997. The name was changed to dmc-2 Metals
(Thailand) Ltd. on 6th July 2000 after
Allgemeine Gold-und Silberscheideanstalt, Pforzheim/Germany
became shareholder in 1999. On 13th May
2002 the company name changed again to OMG Metals
(Thailand) Ltd. after being acquired by the OM Group
in 2001. |

| Effective 1st August 2003, the Belgian
n.v. Umicore S.A., Brussels, took over the former
Degussa precious metal business from the OM Group,
Cleveland. Umicore is a materials technology group.
Its activities are centred on four business areas
: Advanced Materials, Precious Metals Products and
Catalysts, Precious Metals Services, Zinc Specialties.
Each business area is divided into market-focused
business units. |

Umicore Precious Metals (Thailand) Ltd. based
on over one hundred years of Degussa experience
and tradition in the precious metal business will
remain focussed on precious metal business such
as precious metal refining and production and distribution
of semi-finished products for the jewellery and
electroplating industry. The company is located
in the Gemopolis Industrial Estate, on the eastern
outskirts of Bangkok, close to Suvarnabhumi Airport.
